Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Last updated September 16, 2026.
These terms cover your use of Coders Rock at codersrock.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are short because the site is simple: it has no accounts, takes no payments, and collects no data.
1. What this site is
Coders Rock is a free set of programming exercises that run in your browser. It is educational material and nothing more. It is not professional advice, not a certification, and not a qualification.
2. Using it
You may use the site for your own learning or teaching, including in a classroom, at no cost and without asking permission. You may link to any page here.
What you may not do:
- attack, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems serving it;
- republish substantial parts of the site's text, challenges, or code as your own;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
3. What you write is yours
Anything you type into the console belongs to you. We claim no rights over it -- which is straightforward, given we never receive it. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Our content
The challenges, explanations, site text, design, and the interpreters that power the console are owned by Exteran Studios unless stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright. Short excerpts may be quoted with attribution. Bulk copying, mirroring, or republishing the site is not permitted.
Some parts are third-party open source software used under their own licenses, credited where they appear -- Skulpt, which runs the Python challenges, is the main one.
5. No warranty
The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. The interpreters here are real but they are not the full languages, and they may disagree with a production Python or Node installation in places. Do not rely on this site's output for anything that matters -- check it against the real thing.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Exteran Studios is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site.
6. Availability
We may change, move, or remove any part of the site at any time, and we do not guarantee it will always be available.
7. Links elsewhere
We link to other sites, including Learn to Write Code. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their terms.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Mississippi, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
10. Contact
Coders Rock is operated by Exteran Studios. Questions about these terms can go there.
